Do you think she can bring it to Roland Garros? I miss her!

I miss her too...it's like she's disappeared from the face of the tennis world. No one dares to call her a contender at slams anymore, and if you watch her play these days she looks the farthest thing from a former Grand Slam champion. I think her struggles are completely in the head and related to confidence. I'm not quite sure why she still struggles so much with her ball toss. I mean, can't she fix it by going out and practicing it a couple hundred times per week? I think her struggles begin with her serve, and the rest of the game follows. How in the world can you have confidence in your game when you can't even get the point started on your serve without having to catch the ball over and over again?
The forehand is also not what is once was, but I think that's also due to confidence. I really think it's all mental. In the Australian Open she was playing with some wonderful variety in the first set (which she won in a tiebreak), but she went on to lose the match. She made me feel a little better by fighting and almost coming back from 5-1 down in the final set and saving a handful of match points, yet she disappoints me yet again by losing to another player she shouldn't lose to (Dulko is a solid player, but nothing special). I think it will be awhile before she's competing for slam titles again, but it would be wonderful if that happens as early as this season. She's still young, but time passes by quickly and sooner or later she has to break out of this slump.

Ana Ivanovic is very talented, but I have to question her mental toughness. She was completely overwhelmed by Justine Henin in her first slam final, and in her second final at the Australian Open, although she performed much better, she still couldn't produce her best tennis when she really needed to. Maria Sharapova, by comparison, is very strong mentally, and that's why she has 3 slam titles and has already been #1, and she and Ana are the same age. Perhaps Ana will just take a little longer to mature into a champion and #1 player. Like I stated before, she is certainly talented enough, but she just needs to become stronger mentally.

I really liked Ivanovic and Jankovic, a few years ago, they were on top of their game, and sadly they have both really dropped their level of play..
I think that they are slooowly coming back,
and i think that Ana might make it to at least the QF of Roland Garros, and maybe be able to win it next year..

I actually think, considering how successful Henin and Clijsters have been, that Ivanovic needs to take a break from the game. I say like 6 months and relax, find herself again and her winning ways. Obviously her confidence is hurt and she needs to get outside of the game to refocus, Im not saying she should retire though because I still think she has potential to make a final or two.
But winning a Major...would be hard

I miss her as well. I am not a massive fan of the women's game, purely due to the inconsistency, and the madness of people retired for 2 years able to fight their way into Grand Slam finals. BUT.... But Ivanovic, Petrova and Radwanska are three individuals I really enjoy watching play the game.
I would definitely like to see her do well and even win at Roland Garros, ideally before!
Guilty Bystander

Forever.
With the possible exception of Gomez, she is perhaps the worst player to ever win a Grand Slam.
And she has since proven my statement.
Sorry, find a new hero.

it looks like forever... she ain't gonna win another slam...sorry to say that...
just look at the way she plays, her stroke mechanics are just wrong, her toss goes all over the place... she won those matches in the past because of her grit and attitude on the court...
but... she is a pretty face and has a great body, so who cares if she keeps losing...
go ana....go... go to my bedroom...
