Is Serena gonna be missed in US Open 2010?

I know many ppl over here are not fond of Serena & I also know that many are happy with the fact that she is not playing (whatever the reason may be)..

But I think Im the one who will miss her the most....this year's US Open (specially women's sec) is gonna be pretty lame for me....but anyway that's my feeling & doesn't everyone need to necessarily feel like that..

So I just wanna know is there anyone who is gonna miss Serena in the USO!!!!!!

I'm gonna miss her!!!!! she's one of my fav players. I like her because, even if ppl don't wanna admit, she's a GREAT tennis player, she doesn't need to be beautiful top play tennis, and I hate it when ppl compare her to men and apes, that's pretty lame, and it's sad...

anyways, you gotta understand though that those who are happy she's gonna miss USO do have a solid reason lol, I mean her being away gives the chance to sooo many others to have a grab at the title :))

oh but to answer ur question, she's gonna be missed, cuz she has may fans!!

Well, to be honest, I never really liked her, and last year's incident really knocked her public perception down a lot. But there's no doubt that a great champion like her WILL be missed at the U.S. Open. Same goes for del Potro on the men's side. It's really a shame that they can't play. I always want a full field so that all the players play, but that's never possible because of injuries, which are unfortunately part of the game.



Edit: OIN, I didn't mean shame in a bad way! I meant that it's unfortunate they can't play and that the field will be missing two great champions.

The feeling is pretty bittersweet. Of course I want Elena Dementieva to win her first Grand Slam, and with Serena out, the odds of that happening are much greater. But then again, I adore Serena's personality, and her press interviews are always hilarious. So I'm split.

I will definitely miss Serena.She is a true Grand Slam champion,and a Grand Slam without Serena is not a Grand Slam at all...It will be another slug fest like the French Open 2010... :-(

yeah surely i m going to miss her and as she is one of the best tennis players of her generations and she is the fav to win the us open 2010 but as always she is let down by her injuries.
