Freshman Tennis No experience?

Question

IM a freshman boy in high school and me and my friend wana try a sport so we decided tennis but neither of us have any experience in it, can we still join?

In most high schools beginners can make the tennis team. You might be put on a freshman or JV team the first year. It would help your chances if you could play some before the season starts. Take a few lessons if possible, or a least go out and hit with someone who knows the basics..

No, it wouldn't be a problem. No, tennis coaches will drop you from not having a tennis experience or never play before.Tennis is a great game that players can learn and get better through experiences. I started out a newbie in my High School Freshmen year. I didn't make the 8 men Varsity team but got playing time every matches. There is no cut in my High School. Everyone just have funs and play around.By my Junior year, i was starting in No.2 seed for Doubles. Just have fun with it.

Sure you can, coachs know that tennis isnt a huge sport and most kids dont start playing until highschool, depending where you live. I tried out for my team only knowing how to hit the ball ( not really over the net though), and now im number one position on my varsity team. Tryout, what is there to lose?! And also if you want to get good, just keep postive and practice, it will come with time.

one of my best friends did exactly that and got to play varsity. all it takes is to be well conditioned and strong. since you and your friend are doing it together you can also work together. most schools leave their tennis courts open for people to play on. the more playing time and experience you get, the better you are going to be. also, try finding some tennis camps for you and your friend to go to. they really help!
