Miss Robson does it AGAIN...?

Whoopee doo! The new empress of British tennis is in full motion, being the first Brit to reach the round of 16 at a major in 14 years. :DDDD

Now that Laura's taken out Li, as well as Kim, do you see her progressing even further?

BQ: How is your USO going?
BQ1: Do you think Laura is a future slam winner?

Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant. This girl keeps amazing everyone with another brilliant performance. First of all, she is so young and playing her first full year on the Tour and now she's in the 4th round by beating 2 Grand Slam champions. It's really never easy to beat 2 elite players in a row, even if you are one yourself, but for a complete underdog to do it is amazing.

When I watched her closely, I noticed she has a pretty nice game actually. She is a lefty and has a great serve and a very nice technique. She definitely has lots of potential and I definitely see her as a Top 20 player in the future!

As for her chances against Stosur, she is an underdog once more, but hopefully her fairytale run will continue, I'm rooting for her. Plus, she'll probably make it more competitive versus Azarenka than Stosur would.

BQ: So far so good! I didn't come in the USO with high expectations like in the previous 3 Slams, but so far Novak has lost 7 and Serena 8 games in 2 matches, so hopefully they'll keep playing well.

BQ1: It's too early to tell, I think. We'll see in a couple of years.

Yeah, she might be the person will mess up (in a good way) everything for the tournament. Before that I thought there will be a repeat winner for a grand slam after seven straight different grand slam champion. She has knocked out Clijsters, Li. She'll face Stosur next. Consider most of the past 7 grand slam champion is on her half of the draw (Azarenka, Sharapova,Kvitova), she might do some damage here. I hope she can create some fairy tale run here.

BQ: Good, all my favorite still in the game

BQ1: She's just 18 and it still too early to say whether she'll win a grand slam but yeah I would say she will had a bright future.

yeah what a brilliant win for laura robson, i think she will beat sam stosur she's definitely got what it takes and sam stosur has had a very inconsistent year so if robson plays like she did today i can see robson in the quarters and who knows what will happen there.

BQ: great, its been a very good tournament, glad the us open have scrapped the long final sets and just had a tie breaker so the players aren't as tired fr the next round.

BQ1: well as long as she's still in the tournament whats stopping her this year, she has probably the least favourite to win it but who knows weirder things have happened, laura robson can only improve so if all goes well she could definitely be a grand slam winner, btw am i the only one who can see alot of sharapova in her game and the way she plays?

If she does progress further she has to beat some serious competition: Clijsters, Li Na, Stosur, Azarenka, Sharapova, Serena may be the hardest run to a championship I've seen lol.

To be honest I've given up doubting her but I think one more win is the absolute best she can hope for. A quarter final run would be incredible for her.

BQ: Decent, but I'm making some pretty bad predictions. I was predicting everything pretty well at Wimbledon :(

I usually miss the last match of the day too because of time diff.

BQ1: Based on the last couple of matches, yes definitely. But it's too early to predict anything like that, especially in women's tennis.

I think if Stosur slips like she sometimes does Laura will win but otherwise it will be close because Clijsters, Na and Stosur are all big hitters. I hope she wins because i love her. And she is definatly a future slam winner and top 10/top 5 player. People are forgetting she's 18, if shes like this at 18 she's going to be unreal by the time she's 25

The question I was about to ask was, "What are the odds Robson wins a major before Murray?" :D

Only half kidding. She looks great out there. And at 18....the future is bright. Especially considering how tumultuous women's tennis is.

BQ: Great

BQ1: Too early to tell...but yeah, why not?
