I know she can be head strong and outspoken but why do people hate/dislike her so much. Its not like she's blatantly cheated before like other well known tennis players (henin etc). She's worked hard to achieve her 10 grand slams and is the best of her generation. It also was strange that when serena accused martinez of cheating (which she was correct) newpapers (yahoo in particular) made a big issue of how serena accused her opponent of cheating but failed to say that serena was actually correct in her accusation.

I like Serena, so I will let the haters state, "why".

There will always be some called confident and assertive and always the others called cocky and arrogant. If I had as many unforced errors as she has, I might think I gave away a match also. Just a thought.

But, I do want to discuss why Serena is frowned upon for pointing out the "Pink Elephant" standing at the net cringing. We all know the girl got hit and most of all the girl knows she was hit. Therefore the point, a big point I might add, should have gone to Serena.

Where is the outrage for the cheater? Where is the frown for the umpire, who missed it (go figure) and didn't bother to ask the opponent if she got hit?

Oh, how dare Serena keep her composure, finish the match, and mention it at the appropriate place, the press conference.

Shame on you girl!

Here's the thing, most people don't hate her because of her tennis. She plays an amazing game, she works very hard, and it should be something admired. True, it annoys people how she literally just works on serves so she can ace her way through the match and, coming from a collegiate player, being aced all the time is the most aggravating thing ever. But it's only a positive for Serena.

However, it's her attitude that usually turns people away. First of all, she's a sore loser. Second of all, she treats everything she does wrong like it's just people picking on her. Thirdly, she's outrightly said she hates tennis. And lastly, she's been fined for threatening umpires and ball judges. She just doesn't seem like a nice person.

In my opinion, she also seems to play mind games on the court, which is a big no-no, and the way she slumps, physically and with her game is annoying. And YES the announcers do kiss her *** all the time. But hey, she #1 in the world for a reason.

BQ: What is your present/wish for Serena? Good health and more Slams. BQ1: What are your hopes/expectations for Serena until the end of the year? The same as above. BQ2: Do you think she now fully deserves the WTA Player of the Year award having won 6 titles including Wimbledon, Gold Medal at the Olympics and the US Open? Yes BQ3: Do you find the post USO season a bit slow and not very interesting (apart from the year ending events). After the USO, it’s always slow for me. I always get a bit depressed (lol) because I know that the tennis year is not as interesting. Happy Bday to Serena. Serena really is a true champion. I laugh when I think about how other players were put on a pedestal and now some are either barely around or not around. This is not to disrespect them but what happened to the following: D. Safina C. Wozniacki Ana Ivanovic Jelena Janković Jelena Dokic No need to answer but I remember all the hype around these players and now they are barely talked about.

Lets address the elephant it the room. Serena is BLACK, and Successful. Asians don't hate Serena, Black people don't hate Serena, the VAST majority of people who "Hate" Serena are people who HATE to see a successful black person.

She should be checked for HGH and other performance enhancing drugs. She played her own sister at Wimbledon to a convenient 2 set conclusion just to make sure she didn't get too tired out for her upcoming matches. Who gets to play against a family member in the world's greatest tennis tournament besides her?

She gives off phoney vibes. She uses aces that she has mastered instead of playing tennis. In short, she does not like like a nice person, even with all the money, shows little or no class and. It gracious. Therefor, I don t enjoy watching her play. There something crass and crude about her manner. Too bad.

I will keep my say short and as simple as that:

she lacks sportsmanship ( she always has a reason about something wrong in her for her defeats, she never admits defeat and that the player in front of her played better)

she is also a drama queen, always likes to be in the centre of attention and no matter what it was ( a good or a bad thing).

I don't hate her, but i just don't like the way she acts, and being a good tennis player doesn't change that.

I respect her a tennis player, but i don't have respect for her as a person.

Because she has no elegance and no class whatsoever!... She is also one of the least humble tennis players in history and she is rude and obnoxious on top of that and last but not least which probably isn't her fault is her looks!... She (and her sister) is obviously not very attractive, specially in women's tennis, where there are so many beauties particularly from Eastern Europe!

I hate the fact that she's always overconfident, when she has no reason to be. She lacks sportsmanship towards her competitors. The fact that commentators always kiss her behind. She's never committed to tennis. She gives out a vibe that everyone should hail to her. Her hideous outfits, that everyone says they're good but are horrible!! Her reactions when she hits a winner, STFU. Also the fact that people say she's hot?? People say that for the fact the they feel sorry for her!! Why can't she be like Ever, Graf,Seles, and Davenport?? They're graceful with good sportsmanship. Am never going to like her, that's a fact!!

I dunno.I dont hate her I mean I don`t have any feelings for her.I get happy when she wins but the thing I don`t like about her is that she screams for show like Sharapova and it`s disqusting!

But do you notice that she is the only player who overreacts that way? I could tell you that a lot of people don't like her attitude. But you won't believe me. It's more convenient to believe that people don't like Serena because she's black. So believe whatever you want to believe.
