Durable strings are not always a good thing. Your arm might break before the strings break. Luxilon strings are almost unbreakable, but after a few weeks they can get very stiff and it will feel like you're hitting with a board. Its also been known to contribute to tennis elbow because of its stiffness. The pros love it, but I'd bet they restring their racquets often, and before the strings even break. The thinner the strings (bigger number, thinner string), the more feel you get. If you HAVE to have luxilon for its durability, I'd recommend putting in a softer multifilament in the crosses to soften the stringbed (hybrid). Natural Gut is the best string for playability but is not known to be very durable. Still, after trying a ton of different strings, I've settled on Natural Gut as my main string (at least for the mains in a hybrid).

The most durable string is Luxilon, and you can string both crosses and mains. now luxilon rough has a gage of 16 L which gives feel.Kevlar is durable but not as durable as luxilon,in addition, kevlar lacks feel....is more like a board.
