Question:
Is there a way to tell what brand/type of tennis string from a friend's racket?
?

Basically, I hit with a Aeropro, with RPM 17 strung at around 55-56 lbs. I recently borrowed a friend's racket. I felt like the strings were amazing, good control and allowed me to hit through the ball, in maybe a way the RPM doesn't really allow... He doesn't remember the string, basically, is there a way to figure out what type/brand string it is?? Any other string related advice would be great as well :)

Look at the strings near the frame for a brand name.

Coming from a semi-professional tennis stringer, there are a couple ways to tell. The easiest way would be to check the string on the racket. Most tennis strings have the string name on the actual string in small text. If that text is not there or has worn off, I would either photo-compare online or bring it to a coach/tennis pro and get their input. The thing about tennis string is that most brands have similar, if not the exact string available. For example, RPM Blast is basically the same string as Wilson Revolve. Any local tennis pro should be able to give you a recommendation.
